About the Blake Chapman Flight Scholarship
The Blake Chapman Flight Scholarship was created by a group of individuals who wanted to give students in Teton County, Idaho the chance to learn how to fly. This scholarship covers the full cost of instruction and materials for students to obtain their private pilot’s license, a value of approximately $8,500 each. Applicants must be 16 years of age by May 1st of the year in which they apply and must demonstrate good academic standing, community service/involvement, financial need, and a commitment to becoming a pilot. Applicants must be able to be devoted full-time to training at least 4 days a week. The 2017 Blake Chapman Flight Scholarship application period is open from Friday, December 16, 2016 to Friday, March 3, 2017 at 5 PM.
