About the Blake Chapman Flight Scholarship
The Blake Chapman Young Eagles Flight Scholarship was created by a group of individuals who wanted to give students in Teton County, ID the opportunity to learn how to y. This scholarship covers the full cost of instruction and materials for a student to obtain their private pilot’s license – an approximate value of $8,500.
Applicants must be at least 16 years of age by May 1st of the year in which they apply. Students must demonstrate good academic standing, community service/involvement, financial need and a commitment to becoming a pilot. Participants will be devoted to full-time training, a commitment of at least 4 days a week.
The 2018 Blake Chapman Young Eagles Flight Scholarship application period opens Wednesday, January 3, 2018. Scholarships are due Friday, March 2, 2018 at 5 PM.
