Tinny helps strengthen nonprofits through Workshops, Competitive Grants, Youth Philanthropy, and the Tin Cup Challenge. Keep Tinny in peak performance with a direct gift to the Community Foundation of Teton Valley.
Workshops offer a unique opportunity for both Board & staff members to engage in nonprofit best practices as a group. In addition to continuing education, workshops offer nonprofit leaders the possibility of networking, solving problems, and collaborating. In 2018, we hosted 9 workshops with 30 hours of training to 34 organizations. We had 50 Board attendees & 48 staff attendees.
Competitive Grant Program
The need for local competitive grants is easily seen when considering this year’s 35 applicants asking for a total of $130K. The Community Foundation, through careful vetting, was able to fund 16 local projects with a total of $51K from the 2018 Tin Cup Challenger Fund.
Youth Philanthropy Program
77 students participated in last year’s Youth Philanthropy Program, funding a total of 13 projects with $10,000 in Grant Awards. This program educates graduating seniors about our nonprofit community and the grant-making process while instilling the idea of philanthropy in our local youth and helping local organizations.
Tin Cup Challenge Program
47 nonprofits are participating in this year’s Tin Cup Challenge. The unrestricted & Matching funds raised during the 8-week giving period provide crucial funding for most participants. That funds must be spent within 18 months helps drive the missions of our nonprofits for the benefit of the people, wildlife, and landscape of Teton Valley.
Not only does Tinny keep these vital nonprofit programs flourishing for the benefit of all, he’s also a trusted confidant and coach for nonprofit leaders to lean on when necessary. Consider a direct gift to the Community Foundation to support Tinny’s unwavering efforts to elevate our nonprofit community from the inside-out.
